No. The Buddhists call it “Maya” or illusion. The world as we see it is all an imagined reality. Our minds are not equipped to handle the truth. So what we see is just an aspect of what is real, so no. This is actually a source of comfort to me because it allows me to say: “the world around us as we perceive it is an illusion, so Trump isn’t really President.”

Friends, maybe you could help? My team in GISHWHES Team ForABetterWorld is doing a little event this weekend, and the more of you join the better.
The task is to do - today - some random act of kindness - a nice gesture, a good deed, something that will cheer somebody up, something that can make the day better, whatever, it doesn’t have to be anything big. Then you take a picture of this, or it may be a piece of paper with your random act written/drawn on it – however you want it, it’s your creativity – and with the hashtag #peaceandlovearoundtheworld post it on any social media you want.
Other teams are joining us and, of course, it is for everyone, not only for the GISHWHES participants. The idea was created during the talk about the recent tragic events in the world, we want to answer to that by reaching with joy and goodness wherever possible, such as the idea of GISHWHES and Random Acts works!
